BBNaija S11: Nomy Disqualified Over Repeated Defiance of Big Brother’s Instructions

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate, Miss Whitney Nomy Chukwu, has been disqualified from the Show Ya Sef house for repeatedly defying Big Brother’s instructions.

Nomy’s disqualification was announced on Monday after she repeatedly refused to comply with instructions relating to a punishment imposed on her following a Head of House challenge.

Announcing the development on its official Instagram page, Big Brother Naija said it had revoked Nomy’s privilege to participate in the reality show.

“Nomy (@_officialnomy) has been disqualified from the Big Brother Naija Show Ya Sef house following repeated defiance of Big Brother’s instructions.

“Big Brother revoked her privilege to participate in the game and gave her 30 minutes to gather her belongings and leave the house,” the announcement noted.

Nomy’s disqualification comes after she had earlier received a strike and final warning for repeatedly defying Big Brother’s instructions.

She had previously been punished after failing to comply with the ‘benchwarmer’ outfit directive following her performance in a Head of House challenge.

Big Brother had warned her that further violations could have serious consequences.

The latest development brings Nomy’s time in the ‘Show Ya Sef’ house to an end, with her exit reducing the number of housemates remaining in the competition.

The 26-year-old fashion entrepreneur’s time in the House was defined by her strong-willed personality and refusal to easily back down.

She became the first housemate to receive a strike after repeatedly disregarding Biggie’s instructions, setting the tone for her eventful stint in the House.

Her confrontation with Tram over the salon situation further highlighted her outspoken nature and willingness to stand her ground. As a result, her repeated clashes with Biggie’s rules have become a defining part of her story, particularly as her defiance has continued to attract consequences.

With the latest disqualification, Nomy becomes the eighth contestant to be disqualified from the franchise following Faith (Season 10, 2025); Beauty Tukura (Season 7, 2022); Erica (Season 5, 2020); Tacha (Season 4, 2019); Khloe and K-Brule (Season 3, 2018); and Kemen (Season 2, 2017).
