NASD Plc, Two Others Lift Unlisted Securities Exchange by 0.17%

Three price gainers spurred the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange by 0.17 per cent on Tuesday, September 8.
The advancers were led by NASD Plc, which improved by N3.15 to sell at N34.65 per share compared with the preceding day’s N31.50 per share. Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc appreciated by N9.13 to close at N101.30 per unit, in contrast to Monday’s closing price of N100.43 per unit, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc gained 35 Kobo to settle at N170.35 per share versus the previous session’s N170.00 per share.
Consequently, the market capitalisation chalked up N4.68 billion to finish at N2.698 trillion compared with the previous session’s N2.694 trillion, and the NASD Security Index (NSI) expanded by 7.79 points to 4,495.79 points from 4,488.00 points.
Yesterday, the price of Afriland Properties Plc depreciated by N1.38 to close at N18.52 per unit versus N19.90 per unit.
Data revealed that the volume of securities transacted by investors went down by 44.2 per cent to 215,005 units from 385,170 units, and the number of deals declined by 9.5 per cent to 19 deals from 21 deals, while the value of securities improved by 84.2 per cent to N33.2 million from the preceding session’s N18.0 million.
Great Nigeria Insurance (GNI) Plc remained the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis, with 3.4 billion units traded for N8.4 billion, followed by Infrastructure Credit Guarantee (Infracredit) Plc with 2.3 billion units valued at N6.5 billion, and CSCS Plc with 81.3 million units transacted for N5.9 billion.
GNI Plc also closed the session as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis, with 3.4 billion units worth N8.4 billion, trailed by Infracredit Plc with 2.3 billion units sold for N6.5 billion, and Resourcery Plc with 1.1 billion units exchanged for N415.7 million.
