Dangote Sugar Lists About 8.1 billion New Shares on Stock Market

About 8.1 billion additional ordinary shares of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc have been listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited.

The equities were listed on Customs Street on Monday, September 7, 2026, a notice signed by the Head of the Issuer Regulation Department of the NGX Regulation Limited, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, stated.

The new shares were from the sugar refiner’s rights issue, which involved the allotment of two new ordinary shares for every three existing ordinary shares held by shareholders as of the close of business on Monday, April 20, 2026.

During the exercise, Dangote Sugar allotted 8,097,918,827 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each at N60.00 per unit.

“Trading licence holders are hereby notified that an additional 8,097,918,827 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc were on Monday, September 7, 2026, listed on the daily official list of Nigerian Exchange Limited.

“The additional shares arose from the company’s rights issue of 8,097,918,827 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each at N60.00 per share on the basis of two new ordinary shares for every three existing ordinary shares held as of the close of business on Monday, April 20, 2026.

“With the listing of the additional 8,097,918,827 ordinary shares, the total issued and fully paid-up share capital of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc has now increased to 20,244,797,068 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each from 12,146,878,241 ordinary shares of 50 Kobo each,” the disclosure read.
