The 2026 edition of the annual Arise Women, convened by Mrs Siju Iluyomade, is expected to be bigger and better.
This is because the organisers are dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s to make it memorable, with free healthcare services to women and families, including free childbirth services and essential medical care for vulnerable members of the community.
Now in its 18th year, Arise Women 2026 is tagged I M P A C T, and will be held from October 31 to November 1.
A statement disclosed that the event, put together by a non-profit organisation, Arise Women Foundation, will attract thousands of participants both physically and online.
There will be the usual Arise Walk For Life on the first day to sensitise the general public on healthy living awareness. Participants will walk kilometres within Victoria Island, Lagos, and end up with a dance routine featuring gospel artistes, comedians and top celebrities.
The next day, there will be the Arise Women Conference at the ballroom of Oriental Hotels in Victoria Island, Lagos. Expected are prominent Nigerian women, who will deliver speeches on the theme of this edition. Thousands of less privileged persons are also expected to participate and go home with Arise Pink bucket packages that comprise foodstuffs.
