BREAKING: Legendary Nigerian Actor Olu Jacobs Dies at 84

Legendary Nigerian actor, Mr Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, otherwise known as Olu Jacobs, has died at the age of 84.

His demise was confirmed by his son, Mr Olusoji Jacobs, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Also, the wife of the veteran actor, Joke Silva, who herself is a prominent actress in Nigeria, confirmed the death of her husband this morning.

“It is with gratitude to God for a life well lived and fought that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, the Lion of Lufodo.

“We call on all bloggers and social media influencers to respect our family’s privacy at this time,” Mr Olusoji Jacobs posted this morning.

During his lifetime, Olu Jacobs acted in several movies and gained respect from far and wide.
