Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (IKEDC) has attributed the current power supply interruption affecting some of its customers to a fault on the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) network.

The electricity distribution company disclosed this in a message to customers on Friday, saying its engineers were working to resolve the situation.

“Dear Customer, the current supply interruption is as a result of a fault from TCN. Our Engineers are currently working to resolve this,” the company said.

Business Post reports that customers across the franchise areas, including Alimosho, Agege, Bariga, as well as other parts covered by the disco, have experienced more than 72 hours of outages.

Ikeja Electric assured affected customers that electricity supply would be restored once the fault is resolved.

“Please be assured that supply will be restored as soon as this is resolved,” it added.

The company did not provide a specific timeline for the restoration of electricity.
