The 2026 Nigerian Entertainment Conference (NECLive) will be held at the Alliance Française de Lagos, on November 12, the organisers have announced.

It will be the first time the programme is taking place outside the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, since 2016.

A statement disclosed that the theme for this year’s edition is Home Advantage: Transforming Local Demand into Global Power.

The theme focuses on how Nigeria can translate the growing popularity of its music, film, fashion and digital content into stronger businesses and greater economic value at home.

While the country’s creative industries continue to expand their international reach, global visibility does not automatically translate into sustainable revenue, local ownership or stronger creative enterprises.

Challenges around financing, intellectual property protection, distribution and monetisation remain central to the sector’s growth. NECLive 2026 will examine how domestic demand can provide a stronger foundation for creative businesses, attract investment and build the capacity required to compete internationally.

Organised by ID Africa and the editorial board of Nigerian Entertainment Today, NECLive has provided a platform for industry dialogue on the business, policy and investment issues shaping Nigeria’s entertainment sector.
