Popular Nigerian actor, Emeka Ike, has been removed as President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN).
Mr Ike was booted out of the position through the ballots by his namesake and colleague, Emeka Rollas.
At an election held in Enugu few days ago, Mr Rollas polled 42 votes to beat Mr Ike, who only managed to rake 14 votes.
Mr Rollas was elected to lead the embattled group and ensure peace is restored. He is also to unite warring factions with the formation of a government of national unity.
Information gathered by our correspondent revealed that the Enugu Peace Conference, where other executive members of the guild were elected, was attended by prominent members of AGN.
The conference was attended by delegates from 29 of the 32 functional AGN state chapters in the country.
At the end of the meeting, Samuel Onibiyo emerged as the National Secretary.
Also, Michael Orumah was elected Vice President North Central, while Marshall Johnson became VP North East.
For the VP South West, Arimu Tope Babayemi was elected, while Mens Nick Ikpeme became the VP South South, and IK Ezenagu was elected VP South East.
For the position of Treasurer, St. Maradona emerged winner, while Frank Dallas is the PRO.
Moses Kasa was elected Financial Secretary, and Rex Maxwell Barde became the Chief Whip.
