The 2018 edition of arguably Africa’s most watched reality television show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) has been brought to an end and the winner has emerged.
The competition, tagged ‘Double Wahala’ this season, the third, was won by Miracle Ikechukwu Igbekwe, fondly called Miracle on Sunday night at the #BBNaijaFinale.
He goes home with the grand prize of N45 million with other freebies attached and the fame he earned during the show.
#Miracle beat four other finalists to clinch the win the show sponsored by Payporte, Heritage Bank and others.
He got the highest number of votes from viewers across Africa by 38 percent with his closest rival, Cee-C, raking 28.04 percent.
Another contestant of the 85-day programme, Tobi, won 22.53 percent votes from viewers, Alex had 7.07 percent, while Nina managed to get 4.18 percent votes.
In all, about 170 million votes were cast during the duration of the show with 30 million votes realized this week alone.
The #BBNaija #DoubleWahala attracted viewership across Africa, especially Nigeria, with some intrigues and anxiety and betrayal.
The show kept many viewers, especially youths, talking for nearly three months.
Last year’s edition was won by Efe.
