On Tuesday, May 1, 2018, an inferno razed the headquarters of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Abuja.
The fire, according to report gathered by Business Post, was caused by a faulty power generating set in the premises of the apex bank.
It was learned that inferno caused thick smoke to be seen around the CBN head office and it took over 45 minutes for it to be put off.
According to information gathered by our correspondent, the fire happened around 6pm today and was put under control by men of the fire service in Abuja.
The unfortunate incident caused panic among inhabitants of the area as well as passers-by.
