GTBank Announces Early Closure of Branches June 29

The management of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Plc has announced its intention to close earlier than the usual time on Friday, June 29, 2018.

In an emailed notice to its customers, the financial institution said it would close in all its branches nationwide by 2pm next Friday except in Lagos, where the branches would be closed by 3pm.

Business Post reliably gathered that this move mighty most likely be to allow the bank prepare for its half year report.

Most publicly listed firms on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) prepare to file in their half year report to the investing public.

“Please be informed that on Friday, June 29, 2018, our branches in Lagos will close at 3pm and our branches outside Lagos will close at 2pm.

“We encourage you to take advantage of our secure, convenient and always ON alternative channels for all your banking needs,” the notice sent by GTBank to its customers said.

The lender also urged its customers to make use of its *737# USSD banking code for transactions like airtime recharge, money transfer and cash withdrawal.
