Commissioner of Police for Lagos Command, Mr Edgal Imohimi, has been redeployed to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
A report by Channels Television said Mr Kayode Egbetokun has been asked by the police authorities to take over from Mr Imohimi as acting Commissioner of Police in Lagos State.
Mr Imohimi was removed from Lagos and transferred to Abuja to resume as the Commissioner of Police in charge of Explosive Ordinance Unit.
Mr Imohimi was appointed few years ago as acting Commissioner of Police in Lagos after Mr Fatai Owoseni, who retired from service this month, was redeployed from the metropolis.
