Africa Prudential to Pay Dividend to Shareholders

Shareholders of Africa Prudential will receive a reward from the company for the financial year ended December 31, 2018, the board has hinted.

Though no specific amount has been announced by the board, but a meeting to decide this will take place on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 (tomorrow).

On February 1, 2019, the company had earlier said its board would meet on Monday, February 25, 2019 to deliberate on this issue and other, but the meeting has now been moved forward.

During the gathering, the board will consider the Audited Accounts and Financial Statements of the firm for the year ended December 31, 2018.

“Further to our earlier notice dated February 1, 2019, to The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) regarding the date of our board meeting and closed period of Africa Prudential Plc, we write to notify the NSE, our stakeholders and the investing public that the meeting of the board of directors of the company which was earlier scheduled to hold on Monday, February 25, 2019, has now been brought forward to Tuesday, February 19, 2019 to consider amongst other things, the Audited Accounts and Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2018 and proposal for dividend.

“Please note that the closed period of the company remains the same, from February 6, 2019 until 24 hours after the audited financial statements have been filed with the NSE,” a statement from the firm said.
