The board of directors of MTN Nigeria Communications Plc has fixed Tuesday, October 29, 2019 for its meeting to consider the financial statements of the company for the period ended September 30, 2019.
The telco, in a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), said apart from the consideration and approval of the company’s nine months financial statements, the board at the same meeting look into other matters that may arise.
“This is to inform the Nigerian Stock Exchange and investing public that a meeting of the board of directors of MTN Nigeria Communications Plc has been scheduled for Tuesday October 29, 2019 to consider and approve the unaudited financial statements for the nine months ended September 30, 2019 along with other agenda items.”
In the disclosure, MTN Nigeria said it has declared a closed period as a result of this development. This period will begin on Monday, October 14, 2019 and would elapse until 24 hours after the release of the results.
“The company has declared a closed period in respect of transactions on its securities from Monday, October 14, 2019 until 24 hours after the unaudited financial statements have been announced in compliance with the Rulebook of the exchange.
“Accordingly, no director, employee, person discharging managerial responsibility, advisers of the company and their connected persons may directly or indirectly, deal in the securities of the company in any manner during the closed period,” it said in the notice.
