The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed in the flat territory on Thursday, June 25, 2020, as major market indicators remained unchanged from their previous levels.

Data from the exchange showed that the benchmark index of the unlisted securities market, NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI), ended the day at 709.11 points.

In the same vein, the market capitalisation closed the day at N520.89 billion.

The activity chart was mixed yesterday as the volume of shares transacted by investors closed 30.10 percent lower. On the other hand, the value of securities traded by market participants increased by 30.80 percent, while the number of deals carried out by traders improved by 40.00 percent.

At the market, the total volume of securities traded by investors on Thursday depreciated to 16,740 units from 23,950 units of securities traded on Wednesday.

These transactions came from the seven deals executed during the session at the exchange on stocks belonging to FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc (five deals), Niger Delta Exploration and Production (NDEP) Plc (one deal) and Central Securities Clearing Systems (CSCS) Plc (one each). At the previous day, the number of deals carried out by the market were five.

Business Post reports that the total value of shares traded on Thursday stood at N2.7 million in contrast to the N2.1 million realised at the previous session.

The trading day also ended with the bourse recording no price gainers or losers as all 40 securities retained their prices.

ARM Life Plc closed the session as the most traded stock by volume (year-to-date) with 7.4 billion units of its shares traded at N4.6 billion. CSCS Plc was in second place with 196.7 million units worth N2.6 billion, while Food Concept Plc held the third position with 110 million units of its shares worth N80.5 million.

ARM Life Plc also ended the session as the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 7.4 billion units of securities traded for N4.6 billion. CSCS Plc followed with 196.7 million units exchanged for N2.6 billion, while NDEP Plc was in third place with 7.9 million units of its securities valued at N2.4 billion.
