Reports reaching our news room confirm that a bomb explosion has occurred in the capital of Borno State, Maiduguri.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at Muna garage.
Though details of the actual human casualties could not be ascertain as at the time of filing this report, but there are claims that not less than a dozen persons were killed in the blast.
Our correspondent also gathered that corpses of the victims have been taken to the Maiduguri Specialist Hospital.
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has also confirmed the incident to newsmen, but could not state the number of casualties at the moment.
The agency said rescue officials have been drafted to the scene, while security operatives have already condoned off the area.
