The convener of Arise Women, Mrs Siju Iluyomade, will give free COVID-19 vaccines to residents of Lagos and its environs next week.

It was gathered that the exercise will precisely take place on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Arise Vaccination Clinic located on 7/8 Chief Yesufu Abiodun Way, City of David Church Road, Victoria Island. Lagos.

The jab would be administered to those who are taking it for the first time, those having the second dose and the booster dose.

According to information gathered by this newspaper, the most effective vaccines from AstraZeneca, Moderna and Pfizer would be administered, while food would be made available for participants.

This is not the first time the non-government government is giving free COVID-19 vaccines to the people as this is the third time.

This is part of the efforts of the convener to complement the efforts of the government to ensure many Nigerians receive the jab to keep the nation safe.

In 2020, the government had to shut down the economy because of the spread of the virus and many Nigerians had to stay at home.

To avoid a similar situation, the government is encouraging citizens to take the vaccine and this is where Arise Women is playing a critical role, ensuring that people who live in the remote areas have the doses.

It will be recalled that the organisation, which has intervened in many areas to increase the standard of living of Nigerians in terms of support for social amenities and many more, held the last free vaccination exercise on December 16, 2021.
