direct-to-account remittance services

First Bank of Nigeria Limited has disclosed that it is currently experiencing downtime on direct-to-account remittance services, making it slightly difficult for customers to enjoy quality service delivery on the WorldRemit and Ria platforms.

The Nigerian lender attributed this to a “routine maintenance on the WorldRemit and Ria bank deposit platforms.”

In a notice to its customers on Tuesday, the bank, however, assured that its “maintenance team is working tirelessly to restore service as quickly as possible.”

It advised them to “use the cash pickup service option to send money” pending when the maintenance would be completed, and the services would be fully back.

“In order to serve you better, we are currently carrying out routine maintenance on the WorldRemit and Ria bank deposit platforms, and this may cause system downtime. Our maintenance team is working tirelessly to restore service as quickly as possible.

“Senders can use the cash pickup service option to send money to their beneficiaries while maintenance is ongoing,” the short message seen by Business Post read.
