Additional 31,515,400 ordinary shares of 50 kobo each of Stanbic IBTC Holdings Plc have been listed on the trading platform of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Head of Listings Regulation at the stock exchange, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, confirmed this development in a circular to stockbrokers and the investing community on Thursday, December 19, 2019.

He explained the fresh shares of the financial company were created from the scrip dividend option offered to shareholders for the half year ended June 30, 2019. According to him, these shares were admitted on the daily official list of the exchange today.

The scrip dividend was offered to eligible shareholders of Stanbic IBTC who elected to receive ordinary shares in lieu of cash dividends with respect to the N1.00 final dividend declared for the half year ended June 30, 2019.

“With this listing of 31,515,400 ordinary shares, the total issued and fully paid up shares of the company has now increased from 10,473,451,958 to 10,504,967,358 ordinary shares,” the circular said.
