There are strong indications that Jendol Superstores, founded by Mr Mark Akhabue, may soon open an outlet in the Ifo area of Ogun State.
Business Post gathered that barring all unforeseen circumstances, the company will likely begin opening its doors to residents of the area by the end of 2024 or in the first quarter of 2025.
Already, Jendol, which already has about eight outlets in Lagos, including Egbeda, Ipaja, Alakuko, and others, has secured a location in Ifo for its business and workers on site ensuring the place is ready on time.
One of the engineers, who spoke with this newspaper on the condition of anonymity on Friday at the construction site, located near the Police Command headquarters in Ifo along the popular Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, said that the project is over 80 per cent completed.
Unconfirmed reports have it that Rex Playing Ground, where the Jendol Superstores is being constructed, was acquired by the company, with all necessary documentation made to the right authorities in Ogun State as well as the local authorities.
Ahead of the opening, Jendol Superstores has placed a job vacancy banner in front of the construction site, seeking interested persons to apply for some positions.
Top on the list of the positions advertised include accountants, cashiers, auditors, supervisors, bakers, and janitors, among others.
