Trading on the shares of C&I Leasing Plc commenced again on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday, January 14, 2019 a month after it was suspended.
Equities of the company, which were last traded at the stock market at N1.78k per unit, went for N8.29k per share today.
Business Post reports that during the trading day, investors transacted a total of 106,500 units of the firm’s shares worth N801,210.
Last month, the board of C&I Leasing announced the reconstruction of the company’s share capital to allow the company have enough unissued shares to accommodate future plans to raise capital through the equity capital market.
This led to the reduction of the share capital to about 404.3 million from 1.6 billion on a ratio of four to one.
Last week, the company appealed to its shareholders to be patient following the delay in completing the whole process. C&I Leasing, which has its head office in Lagos, is involved in equipment leasing/rentals. It also provides ancillary logistics support services to companies.
