The board of Custodian Investment Plc has proposed the payment of an interim dividend to shareholders of the company for the ended June 30, 2019. The firm made this known in a regulatory disclosure on Wednesday.

In the notice, the company said the board was proposing to pay the sum of 10 kobo per share subject to appropriate withholding tax.

The cash reward would only be for shareholders whose names appear in the register of members as at the close of transactions on Friday, August 16, 2019, the board stated.

In the disclosure, Custodian Investment said this register of member would be closed from August 19, 2019 to August 23, 2019, with both dates inclusive.

Then on Thursday, September 5, 2019, the interim dividend would be paid electronically to shareholders who qualify for the payment and have as well completed the e-dividend registration and mandated the registrar, Meristem Registrars and Probate Services Limited, to pay their dividends directly into their bank accounts.

The company has therefore, advised shareholders who are yet to complete the e-dividend registration to do so to allow them partake in the reward.
