An agribusiness company in Nigeria, Ellah Lakes Plc, has stopped using Cardinalstone Registrars as its registrar.
The agricultural service firm announced parting ways with the registrar in a statement to the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited on Thursday.
The reason for the decision was not given by Ellah Lakes, which said it has chosen another company to perform the same service.
In the statement signed by the chief executive of Ellah Lakes, Mr Chuka Mordi, Cordros Registrars Limited was announced as the new registrar of the organisation.
“We wish to inform Nigerian Exchange Limited and the investing public that the Management of Ellah Lakes Plc has appointed Crodros Registrars Limited as the new registrar of the company and disengaged the services of its former registrar, Cardinalstone Registrars Limited effective September 30, 2024.
“Kindly direct all relevant registrars-related correspondences to Cordros Registrars Limited,” the notice from Mr Mordi stated.
Business Post reports that a registrar is an institution responsible for keeping records of bondholders and shareholders after an issuer offers securities to the public.
