The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 1.26 per cent rise on Friday, November 15 buoyed by five stocks.
The market capitalisation of the alternative stock exchange increased by N13.14 billion as a result to N1.059 trillion from the N1.046 trillion it closed in the preceding session, and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) increased by 10.06 points to wrap the session at 3,021.99 points compared with 2,984.49 points recorded at the previous session.
Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc gained N1.59 during the trading day to settle at N22.50 per share versus Thursday’s closing price of N20.91 per share, UBN Property Plc improved its value by 12 Kobo yesterday to N1.79 per unit from the preceding day’s N1.67 per unit, and Nipco Plc jumped by N7.52 to N130.92 per share from N123.38 per share.
In addition, 11 Plc chalked up N7.25 to quote at N213.25 per unit compared with the previous day’s N206.00 per unit, and Afriland Properties Plc expanded by 36 Kobo to sell at N17.68 per share versus the N17.32 per share it traded a day earlier.
There was a fall in the value of shares traded yesterday by 55.5 per cent to N9.5 million from N21.3 million, the volume of securities bought and sold went down by 75.0 per cent to 350,850 units from 1.19 million units, and the number of deals decreased by 30.9 per cent to 20 deals from 33 deals.
At the close of business, Geo-Fluids Plc remained the most active stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.6 billion units valued at N3.9 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units worth N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.7 million units sold for N5.3 million.
Aradel Holdings Plc remained the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 108.7 million units worth N89.2 billion, railed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units valued at N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.7 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
