FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc was the sole price gainer at the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange, helping to lift the space by by 0.06 per cent on Thursday, November 7.
The share price of FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria appreciated by 43 Kobo yesterday to settle at N45.00 per unit compared with the preceding day’s N44.57 per unit.
At the close of business, the market capitalisation appreciated by N630 million to close at N1.045 trillion compared with the previous session’s N1.044 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) recorded a rise of 1.78 points to end the day at 2,982.87 points as against 2,981.08 points recorded a day earlier.
During the trading day, the unlisted securities market posted a price loser, Geo-Fluids Plc, which weakened by 5 Kobo to close at N3.90 per share, in contrast to Wednesday’s closing price of N3.95 per share.
On the activity chart, the volume of securities traded at the bourse witnessed a significant decline of 99.9 per cent as investors bought and sold 51,130 units versus the 67.9 million units transacted at the midweek trading day.
Equally, the value of equities transacted on the platform went down by 97.5 per cent to N1.9 million from the N76.2 million recorded a day earlier.
These trades were completed in three deals compared with the 25 deals carried out in the preceding trading day, representing a decline of 88 per cent.
At the close of transactions, Geo-Fluids Plc was the most active stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.6 billion units valued at N3.9 billion, trailed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units worth N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.7 million units sold for N5.3 million.
The most active stock by value (year-to-date) remained Aradel Holdings Plc with 108.7 million units sold for N89.2 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 752.2 million units valued at N7.8 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.7 million units worth N5.3 billion.
