FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc and Niger Delta Exploration and Production (NDEP) Plc cruised the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange to the green zone by 1.16 per cent on Tuesday, July 27.
The performance of the stocks increased the market capitalisation of the NASD bourse by N11.7 billion to N1.021 trillion from the N1.010 trillion it quoted in the previous session.
This movement also raised the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) by 8.88 basis points during the session to 775.80 points from the preceding session’s 766.92 points.
FrieslandCampina Plc appreciated yesterday by N5.86 to sell at N100.00 per unit compared to N94.14 per unit of the earlier session, while NDEP Plc grew by N1.22 to N210.00 per share from N211.22 per share.
However, the market recorded a low trading activity as the volume of securities went down by 48.2 per cent to 159,075 units from 306,929 units, the value of transactions, however, surged by 200.9 per cent to N15.8 million from N5.3 million, while the number of deals increased by 85.7 per cent to 13 deals from the preceding day’s seven deals.
AG Mortgage Bank Plc ended the trading day as the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 2.3 billion units valued at N1.2 billion, followed by Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc with a turnover of 682.5 million units valued at N14.2 billion, and Food Concepts Plc with the sale of 146.5 million units worth N127.2 million.
CSCS Plc also remained the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 682.5 million units worth N14.2 billion, trailed by VFD Group Plc with the sale of 11.1 million units valued at N3.3 billion, and FrieslandCampina for selling 13.4 million units worth N1.6 billion.
