One of the foremost pharmaceutical companies in Nigeria, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc, has adjourned its board meeting.
In a statement issued last week, GlaxoSmithKline, also known as GSK, disclosed that on Wednesday, March 9, 2017, its Board of Directors met, but further adjourned the meeting to Friday, March 17, 2017.
At the next meeting, the company said its board will then consider and approve the 2016 Audited Financial Statements, the amount to be recommended to members as dividend at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) and fix the date and venue of the AGM.
However, the statement said shareholders would be “informed of the board’s decisions immediately after the meeting.”
It then urged the general public to “take note that the closed period for dealing in the company’s securities by the directors, managers or connected persons commenced on February 10, 2017 and shall now terminate on Thursday, March 23, 2017.”
