Transactions on the floor of the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed flat on Thursday, November 3, with prices of stocks on the platform also remaining unchanged.
Business Post reports that during the trading day, the key performance indicators closed the way they opened, though the activity chart pointed south.
Data from the NASD bourse showed that the market capitalisation remained unchanged at N948.92 billion yesterday, while the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) was static at 720.83 basis points.
However, at the close of transactions, investors traded a total of 4,311 units of securities in contrast to the 75,543 units of securities transacted in the preceding session, indicating a slump of 94.3 per cent.
The value of shares exchanged by the market participants went down by 92.3 per cent to 401,015.07 from N5.2 million recorded in the previous session.
These trades were executed in three deals, 66.7 per cent lower than the nine deals carried out a day earlier.
AG Mortgage Bank Plc remained the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 2.3 billion units worth N1.2 billion, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc stood in second place with a turnover of 687.8 million units worth N14.3 billion, while Mixta Real Estate Plc was in third place with 178.1 million units valued at N313.4 million.
Also, CSCS Plc was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with a turnover of 687.8 million units worth N14.3 billion, VFD Group Plc was in second place with 29.1 million units of stocks valued at N7.7 billion, while FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc was in third place with 15.1 million units valued at N1.8 billion.
