The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed the final session of the week with a 0.08 per cent gain on Friday, October 18.

The market capitalisation added N800 million during the session to finish at N1.045 trillion compared to N1.044 trillion it ended in the previous session and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) recorded a rise of 2.29 points to end the day at 2,983.55 points as against 2,981.26 points recorded at the previous session.

There were two price gainers and two price losers in the final session.

Geo Fluids Plc appreciated by 38 Kobo to sell at N4.51 per share compared to Thursday’s closing value of N4.13 per share and Afriland Properties Plc improved by 25 Kobo to close at N18.25 per unit versus the previous day’s N18.00 per unit.

On the flip side, Food Concepts Plc ended the session lower by 4 Kobo to sell for N1.75 per unit, in contrast to the previous day’s N1.79 per unit and Acorn Petroleum Plc slid by 5 Kobo to finish at N2.65 per share compared with the previous session’s N2.70 per share.

The volume of securities traded at the bourse witnessed a rise of 208.2 per cent to 635,503 units from the 209,575 units recorded in the preceding trading day, the day’s trading value went up by 399.3 per cent to N4.3 million from N980,477, and the number of deals increased by 42.1 per cent to 27 deals from the 19 deals carried out in the previous trading day.

Geo-Fluids Plc ended the session as the most active stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.4 billion units sold for N3.3 billion, Okitipupa Plc occupied the second spot with 751.3 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc was in third position with 296.4 million units worth N5.3 million.

Aradel Holdings Plc finished the day as the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 108.7 million units worth N89.2 billion, the second position was taken by Okitipupa Plc with 751.3 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc remained in third with 296.4 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
