The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange recorded a 0.34 per cent rise on Monday, October 28, buoyed by three stocks.
Nipco Plc improved its share price yesterday by N9.70 to trade at N106.70 per unit, in contrast to the preceding day’s N97.00 per unit, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc gained 92 Kobo to close at N45.00 per share compared with the previous session’s value of N44.08 per share, and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc chalked up 1 Kobo to settle at N23.00 per unit, in contrast to last Friday’s N22.99 per unit.
Conversely, Acorn Petroleum Plc ended as the sole price loser after it shed 7 Kobo during the session to close at N2.01 per share versus the previous trading day’s N2.08 per share.
At the close of business, the value of the unlisted securities market increased yesterday by N3.53 billion to finish at N1.050 trillion compared with N1.047 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) went up by 10.06 points to wrap the session at 2,997.81 points compared with 2,987.75 points recorded at the previous session.
During the trading session, the value of shares traded appreciated by 28.9 per cent to N7.5 million from the N2.7 million recorded last Friday, but the volume of securities traded went down by 28.9 per cent to 419,086 units from 589,042 units, and the number of deals decreased by 20 per cent to 24 deals from the 30 deals achieved last Friday.
Geo-Fluids Plc ended the day as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 1.6 billion units sold for N3.8 billion, followed by Okitipupa Plc with 751.3 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.6 million units worth N5.3 million.
Aradel Holdings Plc closed the session as the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 108.7 million units worth N89.2 billion, trailed by Okitipupa Plc with 751.3 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc with 296.6 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
