Trading on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) ended on a good note on Thursday compared to the two previous days when the market slumped back-to-back.
The all-share index appreciated by 11.33 points or 0.04% to close at 28,247.56 points after it opened at 28,236.23 points on Thursday morning.
In the same vein, the market capitalisation gained N3.9 billion to close at N9.703 trillion against N9.699 trillion it finished on Wednesday.
Business Post gathered that a total of 365 million shares were traded in 2,905 deals worth N2.1 billion.
Seplat Petroleum led Thursday’s gainers log, appreciating by N16.5 to close at N346.5 per share, while Nestle added N9.82 to finish at N825 per share.
Mobil appreciated by N6.48 to close at N195 per share, Forte Oil gained N1.99 to end N161.99 and ConOil added N1.7 to close at N37.7 per share.
In contrast, 7up lost the losers’ table, closing at N139 per share after it lost N3.5, while Nigerian Breweries followed, losing N1.57 to finish at N145.43 per share.
GlaxoSmithKline shed 9k to close at N19.6 per share, Ashaka Cement lost 85k to end at N16.27 per share and GTBank dropped 56k to close N24.34 per share.
