Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr Audu Ogbeh, will on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 (today), hold a meeting with farmers in Oyo State.
The programme, scheduled to kick off by 9am, will give the Minister the opportunity to interact with the farmers, youths, women and other stakeholders on efforts being made by the Federal Government to boost agriculture in the state and the country at large.
Farmers in the Oyo State have been invited to be at the town hall meeting with the Agric Minister, where they will have the opportunity to tell him the challenges they face.
The event is view of recognition of the agricultural potential of Oyo State, the efforts of the state government and the commitment of the Federal Government to profitably grow agriculture in the state.
Issues to be discussed will focus on challenges facing farmers in Oyo State and their respective solutions.
Venue of the meeting is the Oyo State House of Chiefs in Ibadan.
Last week, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) approved the setting up of a cashew processing plant in the state. Land for farming is largely available in Oyo State.
