Transactions on the trading floor of the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange closed on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, the same way they were on Monday.

At the close of business, the key market indicators, the NASD Security Index (NSI) and market capitalisation, were at the levels they were at the previous trading session.

According to data from the NASD, the market capitalisation stayed at N499.72 billion when market activities were brought to an end, while the NSI remained at 695.57 points.

Also, there were no price gainer or loser during the day’s market session.

Furthermore, there were changes to the activity level chart as the top of trades position by volume (year to date) was still held by Food Concept Plc with a total transaction of 1,158,828,284 units valued at N844.0 million, while UBN Properties followed with 921,841,397 units worth N1.24 billion.

Similarly, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc retained its top spot in value terms (year-to-date) with 202,272,698 units worth N2.53 billion, UBN Properties followed on the list with 884,529,600 units of its stocks sold for N1.2 billion.

However, the volume of transactions recorded on Tuesday further dropped by 95.4 percent or 55,786 units to 2,714 units from the 58,500 units traded on Monday at the market.

Also sharing this negative outlook was the value of the transactions, which depreciated by over N2.8 million or 91.7 percent at the end of day’s session to N257,875 from N3.10 million of the previous day.

The parameter that closed in green during yesterday’s trading day was the number of deals executed by investors. At Tuesday’s market day, a total of six deals were carried out by traders in contrast to the two deals on Monday. This represents 200 percent rise in the transacted deals.
