The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange rose by 0.36 per cent on Friday, October 11, boosted by four equities on the platform.
Acorn Petroleum improved its value by 18 Kobo during the session to sell at N2.00 per share versus the preceding day’s N1.82 per share, Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) appreciated by N2.04 to trade at N23.04 per unit compared with Thursday’s closing price of N21.00 per unit, Geo Fluids Plc expanded by 33 Kobo to end the session at N3.88 per unit, in contrast to the previous day’s N3.33 per unit, and Aradel Holdings Plc increased by N1.55 to settle at N702.69 per share compared with the N701.14 per share it traded a day earlier.
On the flip side, FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria lost N2.01 to quote at N44.99 per unit compared with the previous day’s value of N47.00 per unit.
At the close of business, the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) increased by 10.76 points to wrap the session at 2,989.00 points versus the 2,978.24 points recorded in the previous session, and the market capitalisation jumped by N14.77 billion to N4.101 trillion from N4.086 trillion on Thursday.
The bourse was busy yesterday, with investors exchanging 117.1 million shares compared with the 22.4 million shares transacted a day earlier, representing an increase of 422.6 per cent.
Inversely, the value of equities traded during the trading day went down by 76 per cent to N3.4 billion from N14.1 billion, and the number of deals decreased by 16.7 per cent to 19 deals from 239 deals.
Geo-Fluids Plc remained as the most active stock by volume (year-to-date) with 1.4 billion units sold for N3.3 billion, Okitipupa Plc came next with 751.3 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc followed with 296.4 million units worth N5.3 million.
Aradel Holdings Plc was the most active stock by value (year-to-date) with 104.7 million units worth N86.3 billion, Okitipupa Plc came next with 751.3 million units valued at N7.7 billion, and Afriland Properties Plc was in third with 296.4 million units sold for N5.3 billion.
