The NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange slumped for the third consecutive session by another 0.23 per cent on Thursday, October 6, on the back of declines in the prices of FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc.
At the close of transactions, the total value of unlisted securities on the trading platform went down by N2.22 billion to N958.28 billion from N960.50 billion, as the NASD Unlisted Securities Index (NSI) decreased by 1.68 points to 727.95 points from 729.63 points.
FrieslandCampina lost 70 Kobo during the session to settle at N73.15 per share compared with the preceding day’s N73.85 per share, while CSCS Plc depreciated by 17 Kobo to sell at N14.00 per unit in contrast to Wednesday’s N14.17 per unit.
During the session, there was a surge in the volume of securities traded by investors by 247.9 per cent to 143,401 units from 41,217 units, the value of shares traded increased by 241.7 per cent to N7.3 million from N2.1 million, while the number of deals decreased by 7.7 per cent to 12 deals from 13 deals.
AG Mortgage Bank Plc finished the trading day as the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 2.3 billion units worth N1.2 billion, CSCS Plc stood in second place with 687.7 million units worth N14.3 billion, while Mixta Real Estate Plc was in third place with 178.1 million units valued at N313.4 million.
In the same vein, CSCS Plc retained its spot as the most traded stock value on a year-to-date basis with the sale of 687.7 million units worth N14.3 billion, VFD Group Plc was in second place with 27.7 million units valued at N7.4 billion, while FrieslandCampina Plc was in third place with 14.4 million units valued at N1.7 billion
