The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of four COVID-19 patients, including an 11-year-old boy, from its isolation facilities.
In a tweet on Saturday, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said all four patients, all male, were allowed to rejoin their families after testing negative for the virus.
This brings the total number of persons discharged from Lagos isolation facilities to 50 as at Saturday, April 11, 2020.
The Governor appealled to residents to stay at home and practice social distancing, while observing the highest standards of personal hygiene, especially hand-washing.
“We are on a steady course to victory, let’s all make little sacrifices for the greater good,” Mr Sanwo-Olu said.
As at Friday, April 10, there were 305 cases in Nigeria and Lagos has the highest number with 163 cases, followed by the FCT- 56; Osun- 20; Edo- 12; and Oyo- 11 all with double digits.
Other single digit states include – Ogun- seven; Bauchi and Kaduna – six; Akwa Ibom- five; Katsina -four; Enugu, Ekiti, Rivers, Kwara, Ondo, and Delta – two; while Benue, Niger, and Anambra recorded one case each.
