It was a moment of joy for the Human Resources and Administration Director of Airtel Nigeria, Ms Adebimpe Ayo-Elias, at the 2024 HR People Magazine Awards in Lagos.

The event, organised by Mapelwood Global Resource, witnessed the gathering of critical stakeholders in the HR profession in Nigeria and when she was announced as the HR Leader of the Year, all eyes were on her as she proudly walked up to pick up her accolade.

Ms Ayo-Elias expressed gratitude for the honour, reiterating her commitment to advancing world-class HR practices within her organisation.

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to contribute positively to the lives of those we serve within and beyond the organization.

While commenting on the recognition, the chief executive of Airtel Nigeria, Mr Carl Cruz, expressed immense pride in Ms Ayo-Elias’s achievement, describing it as a milestone not only for her but also for the company.

“Adebimpe’s impact, dedication, and leadership extend well beyond Airtel, and this award is a well-deserved recognition of her influence in the HR field.
