The sudden death of the former chief executive of Konga, one of the leading e-commerce firms in Nigeria, Mr Nick Imudia, has raised eyebrows in some quarters.
Mr Imudia, an indigene of Delta State, was said to have committed suicide in his home in the Lekki area of Lagos State on the night of Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
It was reported that the deceased died after he jumped from his balcony, but some persons are allegedly not buying this narrative as he did not show any signs of being depressed.
However, there are reports that before taking his life, he called his US-based brother, giving him instructions on how to distribute his wealth should anything happen to him.
He also called his young daughter from a previous relationship and told her he would always be there for her and that all she needed to do was to look in the sky and he would see her.
His friends, family and associates are in shock as to why he would commit suicide. No one is sure why he took his life.
Until his death about two days ago, he was the chief executive of a leading innovator in the distribution and financing of residential solar energy solutions and transformational household products, D.light.
