A passionate appeal has been made to Federal Government to do more to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians in 2018.
This plea was made by a group known as Beyond Boundaries Legacy Leadership Initiative (BBLLI) in its New Year message to Nigerians.
In the message conveyed in a statement signed by both the Executive Director and PRO of the group, Comrade Omaga Daniel and Comrade Mpakaboari Numbere respectively, BBLLI said it would continue to engage public office holders and relentlessly advocate for good governance at all levels.
The body further appealed to government to provide basic amenities to Nigerians and also provide a conducive environment for Nigerians to do business and invest.
BBLLI said it was “hopeful that 2018 will bring better fortunes to Nigeria and Nigerians at large as we continue to work for a greater and egalitarian society.”
However, it called on Nigerian youths to make 2018 count in the national history by effectively participating and taking leadership opportunities and avoid being used by political misfits by those who are out to only exploit our collective interest.”
“Our heartfelt felicitations go to every Nigerian as we celebrate God’s kindness to us all through the year 2017. We want to state categorically that as a nation we have conquered many challenges in 2017 and pray that we come out stronger in the New Year.
“We at Beyond Boundaries Legacy Leadership Initiative also wish to assure Nigerians that we will continue in our effort to engage public office holders and relentlessly advocate for good governance at all levels.
“We enjoin the government to step up their efforts at alleviating the hardship in the land by providing basic amenities to Nigerians and providing a conducive environment for Nigerians to do business and invest.
“We call on Nigerian Youths to make 2018 count in our national history by effectively participating and taking leadership opportunities and avoid being used by political misfits by those who are out to only exploit our collective interest.
“We are hopeful that 2018 will bring better fortunes to Nigeria and Nigerians at large as we continue to work for a greater and egalitarian society.
“Happy new year Nigerians, God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the message read.
