Management of Ikeja Electric has informed its customers in some parts of Lagos mainland that they would experience disruption of its services from next Monday.
In a notice posted on its Facebook page on Friday morning, the electricity firm explained that this is to enable it carry out maintenance work on its transformers.
“This is due to the planned outage resulting from the maintenance work being carried out by the Transmission Company of Nigeria on its transformers at the Ikeja West Transmission Station,” the firm said.
According to Ikeja Electric, the disruption of services to its customers will last for almost a month.
The company specifically said “beginning from Monday, March 6 till Tuesday, April 4, 2017, there will be disruption of services to residents of Ojodu, Magodo, Alausa, Oke Afa, Bolorunpelu, Egbe, Igando, Shasha, Ipaja, Alimosho, Agege, Abesan, Ayetoro, Abule Taylor, Ogba, Ifako, Shomolu, Gbagada, Oworonshoki, Ogudu, Isheri Olowora, Berger, Anthony, Otta and environs.”
However, Ikeja Electric emphasised that during this period, it would “embark on load shedding in the affected areas to ensure equitable distribution of power supply.”
The company said it regrets “all inconveniences and assure you of improved power supply once TCN concludes the exercise.”
