The national grid has again collapsed in Nigeria, plunging the nation into a total blackout.
This is the third time the grid is shutting down in less than one week, as it collapsed on Monday evening and on Tuesday.
As of the time of filing this report, electricity has not been restored.
Recall that recently, energy distribution companies in the country increased electricity tariff to over N200 per kilowatt hour for a new category of consumers they classified as Band A.
These customers were promised at least 20 hours of power supply daily after the approval of the federal government through the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
