A Court of Appeal in Abuja has been directed to proceed with the hearing of appeals in all applications concerning the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership and the PDP Ondo State crisis.
This directive was given on Tuesday morning by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Samuel Walter Nkanu Onnoghen.
The Appeal Court panel had earlier adjourned the Ondo case indefinitely saying that its decision was as a result of a case before the Supreme Court challenging the legitimacy of the panel to sit and deliver judgement on the appeals arising from a Federal High Court judgement on the PDP leadership and candidacy in the Ondo State governorship election.
But after dismissing the motion for stay of further proceedings, Justice Onnoghen ordered the appellate court continue with the hearing.
