The Deputy Director of Information at the State House, Mr Abiodun Oladunjoye, has debunked reports that the Permanent Secretary in the State House, Mr Jalal Arabi, has been suspended from office.
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, Mr Oladunjoye said there’s no iota of truth in the alleged suspension “erroneously reported in some quarters.”
According to him, Mr Arabi was at his desk today to dutifully attend to important state matters.
He also emphasised that the Permanent Secretary is neither under any probe nor subjected to any enquiry.
“Also, there is absolutely no truth in the spurious allegations levelled against the Permanent Secretary and his office in the fictitious report published by an online medium,” Mr Oladunjoye said in the statement.
He also quoted Mr Arabi as saying, “I remain committed and dedicated to the professional discharge of my duties and I refuse to be distracted by adversarial forces.”
According to the statement, the Permanent Secretary and other Muslim faithful attended the Juma’at prayer at the State House mosque this afternoon with President Muhammadu Buhari in attendance.
