Managing Director of DDB Lagos, Mr Ikechi Odigbo, has been elected as President of Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN).
Mr Odigbo emerged leader of the association at the 45th Annual General Meeting/Congress held from Thursday, July 19 to Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Park Inn by Radisson in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Before now, he was the Vice President of AAAN.
Also at the election held on Saturday, former Publicity Secretary of the association, Mr Steve Babaeko, defeated his opponent, Mr Yomi Johnson, the former Culture Communications Director of AAAN, to clinch the position of Vice President of the group.
Business Post gathered that Mr Babaeko polled 53 votes out of the 55 votes available to grab the position.
Other persons elected by members of the association were the CEO of Strategic Outcomes, Mr Jenkins Alumona, as the Public Relations Officer; CEO of DKK, Mr Tope Jemerigbe as the Assistant Public Relations Officer; while the Chief Operating Officer of Centrespread Advertising Limited, Mr Wale Akintunde, retained his position as Treasurer.
In addition, members of AAAN elected the CEO of Verdant Zeal, Mr Tunji Olugbodi; Executive Director of SO&U, Ms Biodun Adefila; CEO of Insight Publicis Mr Feyi Olubodun; CEO of FCB Africa, Mr Odun Fadoju and Onuora Moloku as ex-offico.
With his election, Mr Odigbo takes over from Mr Kayode Oluwasona of Harmonee Concepts.
