A veteran Yoruba actor, Mr Charles Olumo Sanyaolu, otherwise known as Agbako, has died at the age of 102, multiple reports gathered by Business Post confirmed.

The President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, fondly called Mr Latin, confirmed the death of Agbako on Thursday morning.

However, he stated that the burial details of the legendary actor would be made known soon by his family and association.

Born in the early 1920s, the late thespian rose to stardom for his villainous roles in movies to the admiration of his fans.

About two years ago, the industry celebrated his centenary birthday with pomp and pageantry. He is very respected in the showbiz sector in Nigeria.
