The battle for who will emerge as the 8th Nigerian Idol is becoming more intense by the week. On the last episode of the show, two contestants, Abraham and Reigny, were evicted after their performances of the previous week couldn’t secure them enough votes from viewers.
Come Sunday, at least one of the remaining eight contestants will also be evicted from the show based on the number of votes received for last week’s performance.
Here are the reaming eight contestants and their performances from the previous week:
Ose Daniel: Based on audience and fans’ reactions on social media, Daniel’s rendition of ‘Bandana’ by Fireboy, was one of the best performances of last week. Will it be enough to keep him on the show for another week?
Chisom: He’s the only contestant to have received a standing ovation from the studio audience this season, courtesy of his performance of ‘Peace Be Unto You’ by Asake. Will he escape the looming eviction hammer?
Quest: With her vocal prowess, she sustained her quest for the prize for another week. Will her rendition of ‘Damages’ by Tems, earn her enough votes this week?
Constance: Will the 17-year-old continue her impressive run on the show?
Savy Henry: Last week, Henry performed ‘It’s Plenty’ by Burnaboy. According to the judges, he needs to do more because he has the potential. Will the audience keep him on the show for another week?
Precious Mac: Will the talented vocalist keep the family name on the show for another week? Watch her last week’s performance here.
Goodness: So far, the show has been good to Goodness. Will the viewers keep her going with their votes?
Victory: The lawyer had the last performance for last week. It was a smooth delivery of ‘As it Was’ by Harry Styles. Will the viewers keep him on the show?
