Big Game, Big Bets: What’s Hot on 1xBet This Football Weekend
The Women’s Euro 2025 quarter-finals are the main event this football weekend. Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and France are all playing, and the stakes are high. These knockout matches are great opportunities to bet on sites like 1xBet Casino in Somalia, where odds, markets, and live plays take center stage. We’ll talk about everything you need to know about these games to help you win big.
Spain vs Switzerland: Will the Favorites Hold?
Spain’s strong performance in the group stage makes them the favorites going into their match versus Switzerland on Friday night. Stade de Suisse will host the game on July 18 at 8 p.m. UK time, but 11 p.m. in Somalia.
Spain easily won Group B with big wins:
- 5-0 against Portugal
- 6–2 against Belgium
- 3-1 against Italy
They have taken an average of 25 shots each game, which is the most in the competition, together with Germany. But even if their offense is strong, they’ve let in goals in almost every game, which shows that their defense isn’t as strong.
Betting Markets to Keep an Eye On
- Both teams to score: Switzerland has scored in every game so far. Spain concedes goals often, even when they dominate possession.
- Total shots over 28.5: Spain and Switzerland take an average of a combined 41 shots each game.
- Alexia Putellas to score or assist: She has already been involved in seven goals.
Switzerland’s form is all over the place: they overcame Iceland, drew with Finland, and then lost to Norway. Lia Wälti of Arsenal has been one of their more reliable players, and having her on the field could help keep the midfield steady against Spain’s constant pressure.
Trends in Head-to-Head
- Spain has won the last three games against Switzerland.
- The aggregate score is Spain 17, Switzerland 2.
These numbers give lots of insight for game bet 1xBet fans looking to make smart bets.
Germany vs France: A Quarter-Final Clash Worth the Odds
Germany and France are going to have one of the most even quarter-finals, which players can bet on at 1xBet Casino in Somalia. Germany came in second in their group after losing to Sweden 4-1. Now they will play France, who won Group D.
Germany’s Road to the Knockout Stage:
Beat Denmark (2-1) and Poland (2-0)
Sweden beat them (1-4)
Germany is missing their captain, Giulia Gwinn, because she is injured, but players like Lea Schuller (who has already scored two goals) and Klara Bühl have stepped up. The offensive power is still strong.
France’s Record So Far:
4-1 win over Wales
Won 2-1 vs England
3-2 triumph over Brazil
France has shown that it can beat anyone by beating teams that are at the top of their game. Kadidiatou Diani and Grace Geyoro have been very important players. So far in the tournament, they have scored at least two goals in every game.
Betting Angles
- Over 2.5 Goals: Both teams like to attack and have played matches with a lot of goals.
- First Goalscorer: Lea Schuller is a good pick with odds of 5/1.
- France to Win and Both Teams to Score: This combination could be worth much based on current form.

Roberto De Zerbi Joins Tottenham as New Head Coach
By Dipo Olowookere
Italian professional manager and former player, Roberto De Zerbi, has returned to England to serve as the new Head Coach of Tottenham Hotspur’s football team.
He will fight to ensure the London team does not play in the Championship next season, as the team currently sits one point from relegation.
The former Brighton manager is taking over from Igor Tudor, who parted ways with Tottenham a few days ago.
In a statement, Spurs said the appointment of De Zerbi is subject to a work permit.
The club’s Sporting Director, Mr Johan Lange, said, “Roberto was our number one target for the summer and we are very pleased to be able to bring him in now.
“He is one of the most creative and forward-thinking coaches in world football, and brings with him a wealth of experience at the highest level, including in the Premier League.”
Reacting to his choice for the job, De Zerbi said, “I am delighted to be joining this fantastic football club, which is one of the biggest and most prestigious in the world.
“In all my discussions with the club’s leadership, their ambition for the future has been clear – to build a team capable of reaching great achievements, and to do that playing a style of football that excites and inspires our supporters. I am here because I believe in that ambition and have signed a long-term contract to give everything to deliver it.
“Our short-term priority is to climb the Premier League table, which will be the complete focus until the final whistle of the last game of the season. I’m looking forward to getting out on the training pitch and working with these players to achieve that.”
De Zerbi earned almost 300 appearances in his playing career across 15 years. He began coaching in his native Italy and in June 2018, joined Serie A side Sassuolo, earning recognition for his exciting, attack-minded and possession-based approach.
He took charge of Shakhtar Donetsk in May 2021, leading them to the UEFA Champions League group stage and the Ukrainian Super Cup – his first piece of silverware as a coach.
Heading to East Sussex to join Brighton & Hove Albion in September 2022, De Zerbi helped secure the Seagulls’ highest-ever Premier League finish in his debut season, earning European qualification for the first time in the club’s history.
In his most recent role at Marseille, the Ligue 1 side finished as runners-up in 2024/25, earning a spot in the UEFA Champions League.
