The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has unveiled TVS as the official motorcycle and tricycle partner of the nation’s national team, the Super Eagles.
This followed an agreement sealed between the country’s highest football governing body and Simba Group, makers of TVS motorcycle.
At the unveiling ceremony held in Abuja on Monday, April 23, 2018, the second Vice President of the NFF, Mr Shehu Dikko, commended the company for supporting the Super Eagles.
He explained that, “We are partnering with the Simba Group with the objective of truly taking football to the grassroots. Scores of millions of football –passionate Nigerians use the motorcycle and the tricycle, and this is a conscious effort to reach them with the message they love so much.”
According to him, the deal has a lifespan of two years, but stressed that, “Our delight is that the Simba Group has committed to actively driving the engagement and promotion of the game at the grassroots.”
He said, “In return, they will have access to our programs and can also use the images of our National Team players on their cycles.”
Mr Dikko assured that the federation would work tirelessly to attract more companies to support the national teams.
He said efforts by the Mr Amaju Pinnick-led NFF to rebrand the nation’s football teams were yielding meaningful results. He called for more support from Nigerians.
