By Ahmed Rahma A member of the green chamber of the National Assembly representing Ihiala Federal Constituency of Anambra State, Mr Ifeanyi Momah, has donated 110 laptops to Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. The lawmaker explained that the donation was to assist the institution's\u00a0 ICT department and foster e-learning. According to Mr Momah, the project, which he supervised, was facilitated through the office by the Nigerian Communications and Commission (NCC). He said, "Yesterday, I supervised the delivery of 110 laptops to the staff and management of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. \u201cThis project was facilitated through the office by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).\u201d The laptops were received by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof Ellis Idemobi, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Greg Nwakoby. The lawmaker, who is the Chairman of the FCT Judiciary Committee, reaffirmed his commitment to delivering education toolkits that will empower the children in his constituency by also donating some items to 10 schools. Some of the items distributed under the supervision of the Universal Basic Education Commission includes computer sets, UPS sets, 50 desks, and 50 chairs. Others were power generating sets, Laser printers, storage lockers, textbooks, chalks, markerboard, swivel chairs, and other educational materials. Mr Momah said primary education is a panacea for a sustainable society while stressing the need to bring basic education to all the children in Ihiala Federal Constituency. Reiterating his commitment, he assured the people that he would do all it takes to revamp the current basic education in Ihiala through legislation, support and oversight.
