In 2023, Ticket to Paradise, Avatar: The Way of Water, Bholaa, La Syndicaliste, and Return to Seoul, among others, were among the most-watched movies by passengers of Emirates Airlines.
The airline operator, which flies to about 140 destinations across the globe, provides entertainment and food to its customers to make them feel at home in the sky.
In a statement made available to Business Post on Thursday, the firm said in the year under review, it did its best to satisfy its passengers, promising to do better next year, which is just a few weeks away.
“Looking ahead to 2024, Emirates customers can expect to see many exciting developments on ice from exclusive new content partnerships to new next-generation inflight entertainment systems that offer memorable cinematic and personalised passenger experiences on the incoming 50-strong fleet of A350s.
“In January, customers can tune into Expend4bles, plus the complete box set of all 4 movies, The Creator – a visually impressive sci-fi from the director of Rogue One and the hit kid’s movie Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
“In February, ice will have Oppenheimer, the award-winning film from Christopher Nolan, Priscilla – Sofia Coppola’s biographical drama about the wife of Elvis Presley, amongst many more additions to the world’s largest entertainment library in the sky,” a part of the statement said.
Giving an insight into the data for this year, Emirates said customers have access to over 6,500 channels of on-demand movies, TV shows, music, podcasts, and even live TV to catch international news and sports.
This year, some of the flicks, apart from the ones earlier mentioned, that caught the attention of passengers included The Lord of the Rings, Khorfakkan, Boots: The Last Wish, Tom & Jerry Cowboy Up! and The Big Bang Theory, among others.
For music, the firm said passengers were offered access to a library of over 3,000 albums, more than 500 curated playlists, over 40,000 tracks and more than 4,000 hours of music and podcasts.
Data showed that customers listened to Mozart’s Chamber Music, Ed Sheeran’s album Subtract, Taylor Swift’s Midnights album and others.
